I am excited to introduce the website for Art Experience. It takes a personal and professional passion to another level: sharing. Sharing a passion for the experience of art, of cultural travel, and sharing experiences and suggestions through our blog.
I invite people passionate or interested in contemporary art and architecture, collectors, and discriminating travelers, to post art discoveries and recommendations, cultural travel stories accompanied by their favorite photographs, or just refer to our site for ideas and information.

Sharing and discussing how we are affected by art: looking at art, living with art, traveling with art. Yes, traveling with and for art, going on cultural tours that can guide us to wonderful encounters and insights we know will enrich our existence in so many ways.
Beatrix Barker
Beatrix Barker has been a professional art advisor for over three decades with specialization in public art. She is experienced in a broad range of project types with excellent skills in analysis, strategic planning, and project management. Because of her extensive knowledge of public art and related issues, she is often invited to advise public sector clients on workable policy, strategy and implementation. In addition to public art, community development, and cultural planning, Beatrix has also distinguished herself in corporate consulting. Her full range of services includes critical selection and advice, art collection management, and exhibition development.
She has been appointed to numerous boards and committees.
After serving for many years and in many capacities on the board of the Los Angeles based, nonprofit art support organization, the Fellows of Contemporary Art, and acting as Board Chair, she has been organizing local, national and international art tours for its membership of established collectors and friends of the arts.
Traveling extensively to inform her professional activities – visiting artists’ studios, art events, museums and galleries, – as well as a personal passion for art and travel, a passion she likes to share, Beatrix developed some exciting tours over the past ten years, such as a tour of the Middle East and Art Dubai in 2010; tour to the Frieze Art Fair in London; a Napa-Sonoma tour of art, wine and culinary explorations; Art Basel Miami Beach; an art immersion tour of NYC; SITE Santa Fe; Istanbul Biennial; and art trips to Milan and the Venice Biennale; Sicily; Montreal, Toronto; Belgium and the Netherlands; Berlin; Basel for Art Basel; Budapest, Vienna, Prague; Boston; Pittsburgh; and San Francisco.
Beatrix also organizes art programs, collection and studio visits, as well as public art tours of the greater Los Angeles area - her home and business base - for corporations, collectors, and art aficionados.
She hopes that Art Experience will be a venue for communicating the many rewards of like-minded people’s art and travel explorations.
